Counsellor in Training

Marcia grew up in Singapore and has lived in the Bay Area for nine years, where she developed her skills as a filmmaker. With over two decades of experience in the film and television industry, she is now pursuing a second career in counseling. Marcia brings a creative lens and a deep understanding of human stories to her work with clients.

Marcia also holds a strong interest in helping clients build self-esteem, fostering a deeper sense of self-worth and confidence. She draws from Person-Centered and Emotion-Focused Therapy, which means she focuses on listening with deep empathy and empowering clients to discover their own unique path. She is particularly interested in supporting individuals through gender identity exploration and affirmation, believing that everyone deserves to live authentically

Outside of her professional life, she enjoys DJing at queer community events, playing tennis, and spending time with her two cats.
